Army Hero Inspires Fellow UNT Grads

As hundreds of University of North Texas graduates filed into Apogee Stadium for commencement Friday morning, it was an alumnus many of them knew well who was readying to give the keynote speech,; a man who many called a hero.

Steven Davidson just graduated UNT in the winter and said he’d planned to come back to walk with his classmates at the ceremony, but instead he accompanied the University president directly to the stage.

History professor discusses the German Army's role in World War II

Union University welcomed renowned author and military historian Dr. Robert Citino on Thursday to its latest installment of the Carls-Schwerdfeger History Lecture Series. A professor of history at the University of North Texas, Citino has written several award-winning books and has recently held the honor of teaching at the U.S. Army War College and the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.

Specializing in German military history, Citino is just the latest in a string of esteemed historians that Union University Department of History Chair Dr. Stephen Carls has brought to West Tennessee.
