When it came to designing an addition to the art building at the University of North Texas, architect David Zatopek said he and university officials have had long talks about natural light. They've mulled over spaces meant to make students comfortable enough to linger in their halls.
"But I've been joking that every conversation we've had, we've decided that we need more and more [electrical] outlets," said Zatopek, the vice president of Corgan, the firm that designed the addition. "Students are really connected. We can't ignore that."
