College prep conference held at UNT

Tue, Aug 2, 2016 - 6:48pm

The National Hispanic Institute hosted a five-day program for high school seniors at UNT this past weekend, one of three it hosted nationwide.

The university partners with the NHI to host one of the three Collegiate World Series conferences, which spans five days. The conference started July 27, and housed and fed students while they were on campus.

Students who attend are about to enter their senior year of high school and are Latino. The program is designed to prepare them for higher education, future careers and leadership opportunities.
