North Texas coach Seth Littrell held his weekly press conference today in advance of the Mean Green's showdown with Texas-San Antonio on Saturday.

UNT was off last week, when just about everything fell into place perfectly for the Mean Green. UTSA lost to Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech fell to UAB and suddenly, UNT was alone in first place in the C-USA West Division standings at 2-0.

The Mean Green are halfway to becoming bowl eligible at 3-2. UTSA is off to a solid start at 3-1, but is probably in a must-win situation heading into its showdown with UNT after losing its C-USA opener last week.

Seth Littrell didn't wait long to make his appeal to North Texas supporters to show up for what will be one of the bigger games in recent program history.

UNT's coach started off his weekly press conference with it Tuesday.

The Mean Green (3-2) enter the week alone atop the Conference USA West Division standings at 2-0 and will host Texas-San Antonio at 6 p.m. Saturday at Apogee Stadium.

The Roadrunners (3-1) lost their conference opener last week at home to Southern Mississippi but beat Baylor this year and are considered one of the other contenders for the division title.

The partnership will offer internship and employment opportunities for UNT students. It also gives the university the ability to advertise with the organization.

UNT spokeswoman Margarita Venegas could not comment on how much the contract is worth or when it was finalized. She also could not elaborate on specific terms of the contract, she said.

"We think [this opportunity] is very exciting, particularly given that every time the Cowboys...

North Texas picked up a commitment in women’s basketball this week.

Dejanee Terrell of Life School Oak Cliff announced that she has decided to play for the Mean Green. It’s tough to find much on girls basketball from a recruiting perspective unless the prospect is among the top 100 players nationally.

What I do know is that the 6-0 forward was a first-team all-district selection and an all-region selection as a junior.
