Stratford Academy in Macon is breaking ground Monday on its $2.7 million planned new science facilities. Construction plans include four upper school labs and three middle school labs, including a mega lab for advanced level lab classes. Building plans also call for a lecture-style auditorium, multipurpose resource room, two general classroom spaces, and state-of-the-art Smart Board technology and lab-station data collection and analysis equipment in all labs. Elizabeth With has been a UNT employee for 14 years and recently served as interim vice president from January to now. University to grant tuition discounts to qualified employees, spouses, dependent children

The University of Texas at Arlington will offer a 50 percent discount on flat-rate tuition to qualified employees effective Aug. 1. Faculty and staff spouses and their dependent children may also qualify to participate in the enhanced employee tuition assistance plan called Mav TAP. President James Spaniolo made the initiative, said Human Resources vice president Jean Hood. Fewer than 100 university employees participated in the old program and it only offered a 25-30 percent discount.
