Stephen Seidel named town manager of Trophy Club

The Town Council unanimously agreed to move forward with Stephen Seidel as town manager during a meeting March 2.

A two-year employment contract was negotiated and Seidel has taken over the town leadership role, effective immediately, according to a news release issued Thursday.

The Town Council previously named Seidel as acting town manager on Jan. 24 after the resignation of then Town Manager Mike Slye.

Goodman leading UNT enrollment efforts

University of North Texas President Neal Smatresk added a new cabinet position last month — vice president for enrollment services.

Shannon Goodman, formerly of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, is now the first to hold the position at UNT and will help recruit and retain high-quality students.

“Enrollment management is a key issue for the university,” Smatresk said. “It’s basically our recruitment arm, and revenue flows are strongly dependent on it.”

At a Special Meeting on Monday, Jan. 26, the Missouri City Council appointed William Eisen as the City’s new Interim City Manager. Eisen will step into his new position with the City after current City Manager Ed Broussard steps down on Friday, Feb. 6, to take over as City Manager in Tyler, Texas.

Prior to his retirement, Eisen has worked in Texas Municipal Government for 38 years and has served as the City Manager for three different cities. Most recently, he served as Pearland’s City Manager from April 2001 – December 2013 before retiring. During his 12-year tenure, Pearland increased in population from 39,000 to 104,000...
