Rilke Prize winner to visit UNT campus April 12-13

Wayne Miller, the winner of the University of North Texas Rilke Prize for Poetry, will visit the Denton campus for a reception, reading and book signing April 12-13.

The UNT Rilke Prize is given annually to a mid-career poet. The award recognizes a book of poetry by the winner written in the last year. It includes a $10,000 cash award.

UNT has announced the fifth winner of its annual $10,000 poetry prize. Rick Barot, who leads the Rainier Writing Workshop in Washington state, has won the Rilke Poetry Prize, named for the great German poet Rainier Maria Rilke. The prize recognizes a mid-career writer who has released an exceptional book of poetry.
