DALLASA senior engineer in Frito Lays Flexible Automation Department gave the keynote address for the Texas Prefreshman Engineering Program (TexPREP) graduation ceremony at the University of North Texas at Dallas July 28, but it was a student speaker who stole the show. Herbert Bohannon IIIs impressive speech revealed impressive speaking skills for a 13-year-old. Bohannon said the summer program made this one of the best summer breaks of his life. UNT Dallas Building Earns LEED Gold Certification

The University of North Texas Dallas Academic Building 2 project has earned LEED NC Gold Certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The goal for the project team was silver level certification, which was exceeded.The building features extensive use of natural day lighting. No interior room is without a window and many of those windows are floor to ceiling, allowing for maximum reliance on natural light. A vegetated roof complete with regional plantings and seating.
